Sculptra

  • Sculptra's active ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid or PLLA. PLLA is a biostimulator that activates fibroblast cells to produce collagen. Collagen acts as the scaffolding that lifts and supports the skin. Collagen supports hyaluronic acid (for moisture) and elastin (for firm and bouncy).

  • A small hole is created in the skin, and a blunt-tipped cannula is used to place product in strategic locations. Most clients require at least 2-3 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart then annual maintenance.

  • The appointment will take around 45 minutes. Nurse Sophie mixes a numbing agent with the Sculptra so it is a well-tolerated procedure.

  • Your skin may feel tight or slightly swollen. This is usually gone by 24 hours. Some redness, bruising, and tenderness may also occur.

  • Sculptra's benefits start at 4 weeks then develop over the course of months. Usually a series of 3 treatments is required for full results as the collagen will grow with every treatment session.

  • The day after treatment, gentle massage of the treated area is required.

This looks like applying a small amount of serum or facial oil to the face then using small circular motions for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, and for 5 days. This ensures smooth results!
